BBQ food is one of the best parts of summer but how can you take yours to the next level? With a few simple tips, you can host the best BBQ party in town, leaving your guests raving about the incredible food. Try these three techniques to perfect your grilling.

1 - Crank Up the Heat

Many amateur chefs fail to cook great BBQ food simply because they’re coal or gas grill is not hot enough. Crank up the heat and be patient. You don’t want to throw a steak on anything other than the hottest part of your grill.

2 - Switch the Food Between Grills

Some foods don’t require so much heat so be prepared to utilize all parts of your grill. Most have a place that receives direct heat and another area with indirect heat. You should move the food between the two accordingly. For instance, start chicken on the hot grill for a crispy outside, then switch it to the cooler side to maintain a juicy interior.

3 - Monitor the Food

Keep a close eye on that grill. While you want a smoky charred flavor, be sure to remove the food before it burns. Getting distracted is a leading cause of bad BBQ food.
