According to the Elementary-Wave Combinatorial Consciousness Theory, the conscious signals in the brain are composed of several independent elementary waves. Each elementary wave corresponds to a circular motion, and the complete EEG waveform can be synthesized via Fourier superposition.

Five elementary waves correspond to five circles. By connecting these five circles end to end (the center of the first circle at the origin, the center of the second circle on the circumference of the first, and so on), the trajectory traced by the point on the circumference of the last circle over time t is exactly the EEG waveform \text{EEG}(t).

Therefore, a conscious state \Psi can be equivalently regarded as a set of "five-circle dance steps" — that is, a specific combination of the radii, angular velocities, and starting angles of the five circles. Different dance step arrangements produce different EEG waveforms, corresponding to different conscious contents.

According to the basic principles of Fourier analysis, each elementary wave A_i \sin(2\pi f_i t + \varphi_i) corresponds geometrically to a circle:

· Radius = amplitude A_i
· Angular velocity = frequency f_i
· Starting angle = phase \varphi_i
